Tips to Help You Look Like a Star!

Mixing prints in one ensemble can be quite tricky, but you better have the know-how as they're all over the runways. To give us the gist, OK! caught up with Louise Roe, British fashion journalist and future host of the Style Network's Go Fix Yourself. Here, she gives us her Top Three Tips to get wild with prints:

1) For daring fashionistas, go for an eccentric palette, clashing colors, patterns or fabrics--anything goes. To play a little safe, wear a simple two-toned stripe top with a floral jacket or cardigan baring one of the same colors. Make sense? If there's blue in your top, keep blue in your jacket too.

2) If like me, you're a little apprehensive of mixing your prints, remember the key to staying chic: tan. A beige belt, bag or platform will warm up and refine your outfit. Check out Tory Burch for more ideas.

3) We saw winter florals carried through from spring for the first time this fall, and in a similar vein, plaid is paving it's way into next spring. How to wear? Take a clue from Marc Jacobs' show and pair the two trends together with killer heels and a structured blazer (see runway shot).

A few extra hints:  The smaller the print, the more it will hide your lumps and bumps. Vertical stripes are far more slimming than horizontal. And keep your eyes peeled for seagulls (a la Stella McCartney), neon aztec prints (Matthew Williamson) and sailboats (Issa). Prints are loud, so expect some attention when worn together!
